The Hive is a beautiful event center located in Staley, NC. We are situated on 200 acres of rolling farm land in Randolph county NC. Our facility began life as the clubhouse for Ferguson Farms Golf Course. When the golf course closed in 2012, it sat abandoned until our family came across the land.

We came across this gem while we were searching for a larger property to expand our farm. It had been neglected for so many years, but we immediately saw great potential in its natural beauty, barns, and clubhouse. The streams, ponds, and woodlands teamed with wildlife and we just knew this farm had to been revived into something new, a place where joy, laughter and unity would be experienced.

In 2016, we began the journey, building a home, new barns for our livestock and equipment, erecting fences, converting fairways to hay fields and pastures, sawing lumber with our sawmill, and planting gardens. If that sounds like a lot of work, it certainly was! We are hands on folks, and do most everything ourselves.

At the urging of a good friend and neighbor, we started keeping bees. Aside from the delicious natural honey, we are proud to be caretakers for thousands of little pollinators. We felt the “hive” concept is perfect for our event center. It envisions that this is a place where friends, family and neighbors will gather and celebrate all those special days in our lives!
